- Ratusan negara peserta awalnya hanya dimintai $200 untuk pendaftaran
- Ketika nominasi tinggal 28, panitia New 7 Wonders mengajukan biaya
untuk meng-host pesta pengumuman juara, yang mencapai puluhan juta
dollar, termasuk kepada Indonesia. Ini sempat menimbulkan masalah,
Indonesia sempat mengancam mundur. Maldives sudah resmi mundur.
- New 7 Wonders Foundation sama sekali TIDAK berafiliasi dengan UNESCO.
UNESCO tidak mendukung acara/yayasan tersebut.

- Katanya sebagian biaya SMS digunakan untuk mengembangkan pariwisata
Pulau Komodo.
- Setelah banyak dipertanyakan, operator & CP menurunkan tarif menjadi
Rp 1 (ketika masih Rp 1.000 tidak jelas apakah dana benar disalurkan
untuk P. Komodo ataupun turisme Indonesia).
- Ketika kini tarif menjadi Rp 1, dan bnyk dukungan figur publik tmasuk
JK & presiden, tidak jelas brp pembagian hasil antara CP, operator, &
pemerintah/pihak lainnya yg mengurusi pariwisata Pulau Komodo.
Kalaupun Indonesia nantinya menang, Indonesia TIDAK BOLEH mencantumkan
predikat pemenang New 7 Wonders of Nature pada Pulau Komodo (di media
promosi, di publikasi, di dokumen resmi, dll) kecuali membayar LISENSI

It's a joke, man! :) don't get so serious :D
Though indeed there is something we can learn from.
The person is obviously not originally from american. He is Hispanic, means somewhere from America Latin teritory (like Cuba, Mexico or countries further down around Caribbean archipelago).
That's why even though they're American, some they may not be able to speak english properly. Just like Indonesian citizen, there are still those who can't speak bahasa Indonesia even they have been living in Indonesia all their life, because all they know is their mother tongue.
I find the last sentence is quite funny "the phone went 'green, green, I pinked it up and sed yellow!" You know how spanish accent pronounce y or j as h. So if you get julio they pronounce it hulio.
