Hallo,

Mengenai bahasa Jerman saya setuju dengan yang lain. Kalau bisa, diupayakan untuk belajar. Mengenai strata, untuk lulusan D3 sepertinya masih belum bisa untuk mengambil S2 langsung, tetapi bisa meneruskan ke S1 reguler. Jika ada mata kuliah yang sama di program S1 dan D3 kamu, maka ada kemungkinan untuk dikonversi langsung. Ini bisa mempersingkat masa studi kamu. Namun biasanya mereka akan menilai dulu apakah bisa langsung dikonversi dan biasanya penilaiannya mengacu kepada negara dan universitasnya. Tapi mencoba tidak ada salahnya. Sepengetahuan saya, saat ini belum ada yang membuka program internasional untuk strata 1 di jerman. Semoga berhasil.

untuk beasiswa ke Jerman bisa buka www.daad.de kalo ngga bisa bahasa jerman ya klik aja yang bahasa inggris, ada kok :)

soal kemampuan bahasa Jerman memang harus diupayakan karena komunikasi dengan masyarakat juga penting, tidak hanya untuk kuliah (meski kuliahnya pake bahasa Inggris).

silakan cari infor kursus bahasa Jerman di tempat terdekat, semoga berhasil ! (catatan : Goethe Institut ada di Jakarta, Bandung dan Surabaya sedang di Jogja ada kursus bahasa Jerman yang link dengan Goethe Institut, di Universitas Negeri Malang juga ada jurusan bahasa Jerman, silakan tanya ke mereka)

ya, saya sependapat dengan zidny ilham, walaupun kelas internasional, apakah mungkin kamu hidup di univ terus2an?? pasti akan bersosialisasi 'kan dengan lingkungan sekitar, yang saya pernah baca juga walaupun orang jerman mayoritas bisa bahasa inggris, mereka tetap prioritas pakai bahasanya sendiri..
oiya, mau nanya juga, emang bisa ya dari d3 langsung ambil kuliah di jerman?? apa memang niatanya mau ambil s1 lagi??
soalnya saya pernah baca di forum tersebut seharusnya tidak bisa, walaupun ada beberapa orang yg lolos..

Salam, rekan-rekan pengejar mimpi! :)

Saya Ikhwan, lulusan sarjana kedokteran, sekarang sedang dalam tahap akhir pendidikan profesi (koas) di Universitas Syiah Kuala - Aceh. Alhamdulillah, tahun ini saya berkesempatan untuk mengikuti seleksi ADS, dan saat ini saya sedang menunggu jadwal untuk interview minggu depan. Saya memilih jurusan 'Disability Study' di Flinders University - karena saya berkeinginan untuk mengembangkan diri saya di bidang rehabilitasi medis dan pelayanan terhadap disabilitas, yang dalam prekteknya masih sangat kurang di Aceh.

Saya sadar betul, saya masih kurang berpengalaman dalam bidang pelayanan disabilitas. Untuk itu, saya punya pertanyaan, untuk rekan-rekan pengejar mimpi yang sudah lebih dulu berpengalaman :

1. ) Dengan kemampuan di bidang 'Disability Study', wilayah-wilayah mana yang dapat saya jadikan tempat untuk berkontribusi di kemudian hari?

banyak sekali beasiswa yang ditawarkan apabila sudah menjadi mahasiswa ugm, ada PPA, BBM, BOP, BP, Bidik Misi dari pemerintah. sedangkan dari perusahaan swasta maupun asing ada Tanoto, djarum, dll.selain itu ada juga beastudi etos, ppsdms, lpi, dll. Good luck! ^^

Burung Indonesia adalah organisasi nirlaba
yang telah bergiat sejak 15 Juli 2002, bertujuan melestarikan seluruh jenis
burung dan habitatnya di Indonesia, serta bekerjasama dengan masyarakat
untuk mencapai pembangunan yang lestari.

Burung Indonesia pada saat ini tengah melaksanakan kegiatan program
"Sustainable and Integrated management of Mbeliling Forest" di Pulau Flores,
Nusa Tenggara Timur. Untuk itu dibuka kesempatan bagi mahasiswa/i untuk
melakukan penelitian atau praktek lapangan tentang burung kakatua-kecil
jambul-kuning di Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timur serta meningkatkan pengetahuan
dan pengalaman untuk konservasi praktis sumberdaya alam di kawasan hutan
Mbeliling, Flores.

Gambaran Umum:

Melakukan studi tentang preferensi habitat dan makanan, ukuran populasi,
sebaran, dan lokasi berbiak dari kakatua-kecil jambul-kuning di bentang alam
Mbeliling bagian barat.

Kualifikasi:

1. Mahasiswa/i S1 jurusan biologi atau kehutanan yang memiliki minat
untuk mengkaji ekologi satwa liar, ----terutama burung liar;

2. Memahami dengan baik metode survei, penggunaan peralatan lapangan dan
analisis data;

3. Senang bekerja di lapangan dan dapat beradaptasi di remote area
selama studi;

4. Dapat mengelola kegiatan di lapangan secara mandiri;

5. Dapat bekerja sama dalam tim.

Lokasi: Mbeliling - Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timur

Durasi penelitian: 2 bulan (Juni - Juli 2012)

Bagi mahasiswa/i yang terpilih, Burung Indonesia hanya menyediakan:

1. Transportasi ke Flores (pulang pergi);

2. Logistik (transportasi lokal, akomodasi dan konsumsi) selama
penelitian di Mbeliling, Flores;

3. Ruang dan fasilitas kerja selama melakukan studi lapangan;

4. Asuransi jiwa dan kecelakaan.

Bagi mahasiswa/i yang tertarik dapat mengirimkan aplikasi ke Burung

Currently, I am looking for 4 PhD candidates to fill below positions in
my group at ZMT:

The Leibniz Center for Tropical Marine Ecology (ZMT) GmbH in Bremen is a
member of the Leibniz Association, which is supported by the German
Federal and State Governments. Through its research, Leibniz-ZMT GmbH
contributes to developing science-based strategies for sustainable use
of tropical coastal systems (www.zmt-bremen.de). The Coral Reef Ecology
Group (CORE) at ZMT has vacancies for 4 PhD students within the
following 3 new projects:

1. CANCOR (Carbon and nitrogen fixation in coral reefs - 2 PhD
opportunities):

Several key coral reef C-fixing primary producers (e.g. corals, other
invertebrates, macro and turf algae) and substrates (e.g. reef sands,
dead coral and rocky surfaces), exhibit internal or external association
with N-fixing microbes like cyanobacteria. Such association potentially
facilitates primary production and growth, but there are no studies that
address linkage of C- and N-fixation in coral reef organisms and their
reefs and the controlling environmental factors.

Position A: C fixation in coral reefs

This new research project, funded by the German Research Foundation
(DFG), will quantify C- fixation of key reef primary producers, and how
this contributes to overall reef C- fixation. Additionally, the
influence of key environmental factors (e.g. light and inorganic
nutrient availability, temperature, acidity) on these processes, both on
the organism and ecosystem level, will be examined. This comprehensive
dataset will help to gain new important insights in coral reef ecosystem
functioning and resilience in a time of environmental change. The work
for this project will be carried out at the Red Sea and in the ZMT
laboratories. The appointment is for a three-year period. Salary will be
according to the German TV-L 13 for a half-time position.

Position B: N fixation in coral reefs

2. Coral reef adaptation strategies to carbonate chemistry changes along
the Costa Rican Pacific coast (1 PhD opportunity):

This project addresses the issue of ocean acidification caused by
anthropogenic emissions of CO_2 in the atmosphere. Many experiments have
shown that calcification of scleractinian corals declines with
increasing CO_2 concentration. The Costa Rican Pacific coast is partly
affected by corrosive waters that well up along the coast and
periodically expose reefs to pH values lower than usual and similar to
those expected in a high CO_2 world of the future. With this project, we
are interested to study the impact of upwelling on the metabolism of
calcifying reef organisms and the adaptation of coral reefs to natural
changes in seawater chemical composition. The work will be carried out
in Costa Rica and in the ZMT laboratories in close cooperation with the
Systems Ecology Group, the Carbon and Nutrient Cycle Group of the ZMT,
and the University of Costa Rica in San Jose. The appointment is for a
three-year period. Salary will be according to the German TV-L 13 for a
half-time position.

3. BIOCORE (Biogeochemical Interactions Of Coral Reef Ecosystem
engineers, 1 PhD opportunity):

Scleractinian corals and reef sponges fulfill key ecosystem engineering
functions in tropical coral reef ecosystems, not only due to their high
benthic coverage on the exposed (corals) and cryptic (sponges) reef
framework compartments, but especially by substantially influencing reef
biogeochemical element cycles. Corals continuously release large amounts
of energy-rich organic matter into reef waters. However, our knowledge
on the utilization of this energy source is largely limited to microbial
degradation processes only. Reef sponges and their associated microbial
community (i.e. sponge holobiont) take up large amounts of organic
matter of still unknown origin and exhibit massive cell shedding, i.e. a
constant release of particulate organic matter, suggesting the induction
of a significant recycling ?sponge loop? for bulk and coral-derived
organic matter within the reef ecosystem. BIOCORE will conduct
integrated laboratory and in-situ stable isotope pulse-chase experiments
to follow, in a qualitative and quantitative way, the cycling of
coral-derived organic matter within coral reef biogeochemical element
cycles and in particular the suggested ?sponge loop? induced by the
sponge holobiont. The work for this project will be carried out at the
Red Sea and in the ZMT laboratories. The appointment is for a three-year
period. Salary will be according to the German TV-L 13 for a half-time
position.

Starting Date:

March/April 2012 (all 4 positions)

Requirements:

Applicants should hold a Master or Diploma degree in marine biology,
ecology, geobiology or related fields and should ideally have experience
with coral reef ecology and physiology. They should also fluently speak
English and possess good scientific writing skills. A SCUBA diving
license and the proven ability to successfully write scientific
publications is an additional asset.

Saya sedang dalam proses mendaftar salah satu Universitas di Swedia. Dalam persyaratannya, mereka mencantumkan bahwa di Bachelor degree, harus ada pelajaran tertentu minimal 'misalnya' 30 cr. Setelah saya search-search, ternyata di Swedia, setiap jenjang apapun, setiap semester mahasiswa harus mengambil 30 cr (tingkat Bachelor 180 cr selama 3 tahun, tingkat Master 120 cr selama 2 tahun). Sedangkan di Indonesia, setiap semester harus mengambil minimal 18 SKS, dimana 18 SKS saja sudah cukup berat mengerjakan tugasnya, apalagi kalau 30 SKS.
Oleh karena itu saya berkesimpulan kalau sistem "cr" di Eropa berbeda dengan sistem "SKS" di Indonesia. Apakah ada yang tahu apakah perbedaan sistem ini? Apakah ada yang tahu bagaimana konversi dari sistem "cr" ke sistem "SKS" ini?

sedikit menambahkan ya, setelah masuk UGM insya Allah banyak sekali bertebaran beasiswa. Untuk yang diberikan dari UGM diantaranya ada beasiswa SPMA dan BOP (cek dirmawa/BEM KM UGM/BEM Fakultas), dari KAGAMA biasanya juga ada bantuan beasiswa. Sedangkan dari instansi pemerintah ada beasiswa PPA untuk uang saku. Selain itu juga ada beasiswa PPSDMS Nurul Fikri yang menyediakan asrama dan uang sakku serta pembinaan kepemimpinan (mirip seperti etos). Ada juga beasiswa Tanoto Foundation, Medco, TOTAL, dan Toyota Astra.

coba cek di http://dirmawa.ugm.ac.id/ disana ada informasi beasiswa- beasiswa yang ditawarkan di UGM, walo mgkn belum spesifik utk thn 2012/2013 tp biasanya tdk jauh berbeda..
