I have some Excel 2003 files in a document library.

I would like to find out how I can set it up so multiple users can all
access the file at the same time.

At present we have staff checking in and checking out the file, but I
would prefer multiple access to the same file

Is this possible with Excel 2003 file and a SP MOSS 2007 site?

I also discounted Bamboo due to support issues

If the Excel spreadsheets are simply used

* Used to store and view information as rows in a spreadsheet

* Do not use macros etc...

Consider "migrating" and replacing each spreadsheet with a SharePoint list

* will let you store and view information as items in the list

* will allow multiple people to edit different items - at the same time

* you can create list views to meet specific needs

* as a one-off migration step you can import the existing spreadsheet into the list

Spotty config db connection

Has anyone dealt with random loss of connection between your SharePoint
front-end and the configuration database?

We have had this take our site down twice in the past couple months.
When I use the SharePoint Configuration Wizard to reconnect it works
some times and doesn't other times. Basically, I have to attempt the
reconnect until it works.

I'm wondering if this might be a hardware or firewall issue, but the
sporadic nature of it has me stumped.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Setahu saya IELTS tidak boleh dilegalisir, tapi harus minta cetak ulang.  Kemarin saya minta cetak ulang di IALF surabaya cuma 25 ribu + ongkos kirim ke institusi/universitas yang dituju.  Pengiriman dilakukan oleh IALF Surabaya, tinggal kita cek apakah dokumen IELTS kita sudah sampai apa belum ke contact person institusi/universitas.
Ada yang punya pengalaman lebih baik?
