Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP) is a public-private forum for the
advancement of communication and working together between stakeholders
actively engaged in cocoa development initiatives in Indonesia. The CSP
exists to increase communication, coordination and collaboration between
public and private stakeholders engaged in cocoa sustainability activities
in Indonesia for the mutual benefit of all cocoas sector players.
The day to day management of the forum is run by a secretariat located in
Makassar. Secretariat function is to facilitate communication and knowledge
sharing among CSP members and other stakeholders in cocoa industry.
Responsibilities of the CSP Secretariat include:
1. Management of the operations of the CSP including organizing and
facilitating meetings, preparing and disseminating minutes, preparing and
distributing CSP Newsletters and website updates in line with the direction
of the "GA" and within budgets agreed with the Executive Board.
2. Identify and obtain funding for the CSP Secretariat operations.
3. Define, find funding for and manage projects identified by the "GA"
CSP Secretariat is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the post of
Communication Officer to support its operations. The Communication Officer
will be based in Makassar.
*Purpose of the Position: *
- To undertake the planning, development, delivery, monitoring and
evaluation of CSP internal and external communications, including website,
bulletins and other communications tools, in liaison with all CSP's members
and stakeholders;
- To assist General Secretary in identifying and addressing the policy
that are strongly related with the sustainability of Indonesia cocoa and
actively communicating the CSP work programs to the bigger audience than
the members.
- Coordinate with CSP members and stakeholders to compile and share the
information related with cocoa sustainability activities.

*Main Duties and Responsibilities:*
*1. Website: *
- Day-to-day management of the CSP website, including updating and
ongoing monitoring, gaining input from other CSP staff and stakeholders as
necessary. CSP website is key platform for stakeholder communication and
information sharing.
- Coordinating the research, planning and implementation of the
longer-term development of the site, to ensure it continues to achieve its
objectives.
- Ensuring that the website is both visually appealing and easy to
navigate.
*2. Bulletin and other communication tools *
- Coordinating the production of CSP quarterly-published bulletin and
other communication tools such as posters, brochures, banner, film,
multimedia programs, etc. This includes the design, content development and
all associated planning meetings.
- Having responsibility for the content and appearance of each
communication tools.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital library
- Liaison with design and printing and media production contractors.
*3. Working Group and General Assembly meeting *
- Providing supports for the improvement of WG & GA meetings
- Facilitating the note taking during the meetings and its distribution.
*4. Public and Media relations*
- Establishing strong linkage with members and all relevant stakeholders
aimed to improve their participation, in the framework of mutual benefit
- Initiating regular visit and event participation to identify partners'
needs and expectation towards CSP's services.
- Supporting the General Secretary, Executive Boards, and partners in
developing media strategy, responding to media enquiries and building
dialogue with journalists
- Establish and maintain partners database
- Collating and analyzing media coverage
- Introducing CSP to the related governments local and central and
schools (middle, high school and university).
*5. Advocacy Policy*
- Collecting and identifying the conflicting policy related with cocoa.
- Notify and assist the General Secretary to work together with the
stake holders addresses the issues to the related policy makers.
*6. Performing any other related tasks as may be assigned. *
Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism,
Literature or other relevant major and at the minimum 3 years of experience
in communication or public relations in a related field.
2. Experience in developing communication strategy and knowledge
management would be an advantage.
3. Fluency in written, verbal and communication skills in English and
Bahasa Indonesia.
4. Ability to write feature and journalistic reports.
5. Basic skills of graphic design and website design.
6. Ability to work well under tight deadlines and in a team environment.
7. Hospitable personality with strong interpersonal, stakeholder
relations and networking skills.
8. Has ability to work without closely supervision, but been able to
develop alignment between Executive Board and General Assembly.
