[vacancy] [Info] Notetaker Needed in Melbourne 14-15 Feb 2013, 420 USD‏

Hereby I would like to inform that on 14-15 February 2013, Economic Research Institute of ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) will hold a meeting pertaining to the infrastructure (more specifically: the development of Public-Private Partnerships scheme) of CLM (Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar) countries in the city of Melbourne, Australia. The meeting will be attended by CLM stakeholders and Australian authorities where exchange of knowledge is expected to happen.

In this regard, ERIA would like to invite graduate students of Melbourne to participate as notetaker. The notetaker main duty is to deliver a meeting minutes, based on his/her observation of the conversations and findings of the meeting. The meeting minutes will be delivered each day after the meeting concludes.

The events will comprise of a full-day meeting on the 14th, and half day meeting & field visit on the 15th. As compensation, the notetaker will be paid a lumpsum of 210 USD nett of tax, per day of his/her service. Hence the total payment will be 420 USD for 14-15 February 2013.

ERIA will provide lunch and dinner, but does not provide transport from the notetaker's home base to the venue of event, and vice versa. During field visit, the notetaker will take the same mode of transport with the participants, the cost born by ERIA. In the two days of his/her service, the notetaker shall bring his/her own laptop.

ERIA encourages students who meet these qualifications to apply:
1. Graduate students of any nationality within ASEAN+6 (ASEAN + Japan, China, South Korea, India, Australia, New Zealand) who are living in Melbourne, and will be available for full-time note-taking on 14 and 15 February 2013.
2. Major in, or have background of economics or public policy, preferably those who are familiar with the issue of: infrastructure, PPP, ASEAN(+3), public economics.
3. Possess excellent command of English.
4. Able to comprehend and summarize key points of fast-pace conversations.
5. Possess great adaptability and initiative.
6. Familiar with MS Word and Powerpoint
7. Can bring his/her own laptop.
