Can I do/make workflows setting permissions in WSS 3?
Can I even use Designer with WSS 3.0, some blogs say NO, the free one will not
connect. YOu must use puchased version. Something about security model.
Can someone please clear this up?
THX.

Sorry - may have steered you wrong there. I'm really only familiar with
2010 (and Enterprise at that).

I don't know what kind of permissions needed but here is an MSDN artcicle:

There is no purchased version of SPD, but the free one works with WSS 3.0 or
MOSS. But SPD workflows don't contain an action for setting permissions.
That's not available til 2010.

Think about it this way...
Wiki page (real content) i.e. NOT including the master page
is stored in a field in each Wiki page - Document Library (SP - item)
called e.g. Wiki content
So you could use a web part
to select appropriate SP - item
to show just the Wiki content
Hope this helps...
