All,
One of my users experiencing an issue with browser enabled InfoPath form with
a connection to an external SQL db. The SQL server and SharePoint are on diffrent domains.
We have created a simple, very simple form to display a last name of a person from,
and the data connection was created, converted into a UDC file and stored in a DCL on the same site.
No design errors shown and the form was published onto a from library. When the form
is dispalyed using the InfoPath client it works fine. As soon as it's set to display using the
browser (library settings --> advance settings) it throws a data connection error. The warning dialog box has continue and start over. The continue will load the form with no data. It's obvious that this is a data access error when using the browser. Checked the ULS found the follwoing:
The form could not retrieve data from serverABC because
it would violate cross-domain restrictions.
I checked the Kerberos settings with our SQL folks and it works on both sides with no issues. The external SQL server is using the mixed mode. The Excell service works fine with the same settings.
Any thoughts, comments are appricited. Well if you have solution, it's mostly appreciated.
