Position Title: Corporate Functions IT - Finance Project Manager Location (City/State): Columbus, Indiana 1 year Project. IT Project Manager who has good knowledge of business processes related to Finance. Department Name: Corporate Functions IT - Finance • Key member of the Corporate Functions IT Finance Program Team in support of Corporate Finance customers. These customers include Corporate Treasury, Business Analysis & Planning, Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley, and Investor Relations • Design and manage implementation of IT solutions to solve business problems • Responsible for assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure successful completion of projects on budget and on-time • Gather and document user requirements in support of Corporate Finance processes, for system replacement, upgrade, and process enhancement projects • Manage IT Projects using Cummins’ IT Project Management methodology • Lead requirements definition, vendor selection, high-level system design, testing, and implementation of packaged-vendor solutions, when required • Individual to be process-oriented with an ability to understand finance processes in detail, map process flows and identify process improvements • Deliver high level of customer satisfaction SKILLS - FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL: • Application Implementation experience with third party packaged applications • 8-10 years application implementation experience of Financial systems • Knowledge of business processes related to Finance -- general ledger, consolidation, credit, leasing, FX and commodity hedging, external reporting, audit or other Finance-related processes • Proven ability to effectively manage business/IT projects with demonstrated capability in the following areas: deliverable management, schedule management, resource management, team development, meeting facilitation, status reporting, financial management, risk management, conflict resolution and communication management • Skilled in the use of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies) • Possesses business process analysis and mapping skills • PMP-certified • B.S. Computer Science, Business, Accounting or equivalent SKILLS - LEADERSHIP: • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities • Ability to communicate well, both written and verbal, with individuals at all levels of the company, customers, and vendors in a technical and non-technical manner • Excellent change management skills • Excellent organizational skills • Lead and direct efforts of on-site and offshore resources as well as coordinate with internal IT teams as required
