Tourism New Zealand is establishing a new dedicated Indonesia office at the New Zealand Embassy in Jakarta.  They are now recruiting for three new staff positions:

Trade and Business Events Executive

New Zealand is the ultimate destination. Tourism New Zealand's role is to make sure that the world knows it. We do this by developing and implementing strategies to market New Zealand as a tourism destination internationally. Our purpose is to grow the value of international visitors for the benefit of the New Zealand economy. This is achieved by developing and implementing marketing, media, trade, and partnership strategies working co-operatively with our offices around the world and the travel industry.
This is a new role in a newly established office in Jakarta. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will be required to raise the popularity and preference for New Zealand as a MICE  destination. 
You will drive and implement  the trade marketing strategy for the Indonesia market by building relationships with key travel companies, incentive agents and corporate end users. You will undertake sales related activity to convert these relationships into actual business.
As the key contact person for the New Zealand industry you will Educate MICE planners on New Zealand through training initiatives and events to ensure the New Zealand message is consistent.
The successful candidate will have indepth knowledge of the Indonesian travel market and experience in trade marketing, ideally within the ourism industry. With your passion for New Zealand, you will display superb communication skills, be fluent in both English and Bahasa, and be comfortable delivering information across Indonesia to key stakeholders.

Public Relations Manager

Our role is to grow the value of international visitors for the benefit of the New Zealand economy. This is achieved by developing and implementing marketing, media, trade, and partnership strategies working co-operatively with our offices around the world and the travel industry.
This is a new role in a newly established office in Jakarta. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will be required to raise the popularity and preference for New Zealand as a holiday destination in Indonesia by leading the implementation of the PR strategy for Indonesia. You will also manage Tourism New Zealand's International Media Programme in market which covers events and special interests such as golf and cycling and Business Events.
With your passion for New Zealand, you will utilise your super language skills in both English and Bahasa, to deliver information to a wide variety of stakeholders. You will identify media risks and secure relevant high impact opportunities that promote destination New Zealand.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in public relations, corporate communications, media or a related field. Involvement with social media in a professional environment would be an advantage. In addition you must have well developed leadership and project management skills, particularly in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects. You must demonstrate the ability to think strategically about marketing and PR issues.
It goes without saying that you will have excellent writing skills, including experience liaising directly with media and your interpersonal style will be one that builds trust and credibility with ease.

Country Manager Indonesia

This is a new role in a newly established office in Jakarta. We are seeking an experienced and connected Country Manager to establish, grow and develop long term business relationships across Indonesia. Reporting to the General Manager – Australia and Indonesia, you will participate in the development of and lead the implementation of Tourism New Zealand's Indonesia market development strategy. You will identify and develop market development opportunities in the leisure and business events sectors, which will result in successful commercial partnerships and marketing initiatives that are consistent with our three year marketing strategy. Further to this you will lead and manage all key stakeholder and partnerships within the tourism and travel industry across Indonesia and lead Tourism New Zealand's engagement with New Zealand Government agencies.
To be right for this role you will have substantial experience in a similar position and demonstrated ability to work successfully in a global business of scale and complexity. You are fluent in Bahasa and have an expert knowledge, experience and credibility within the Indonesian Travel and Tourism Sector.
