Full academic scholarships for applicants to PhD or MA in Civilization
Studies programs at the Alliance of Civilizations Institute in Istanbul.

Benefits:

--- Successful applicants will automatically be given positions as Research
Assistants and/or Teaching Assistants and be exempted from tuition and
health
insurance fees.
--- Students meeting the highest standard of academic excellence and
language competency will be given a monthly stipend of 2,000.00 TRY (the
highest financial support to be given to a foreign student nationwide) while
subsequent students based on admission rankings will receive monthly
stipends
ranging from 1,000.00 to 1,500.00 TRY to cover their living expenditures.
--- Foreign applicants who cannot provide Turkish proficiency will be
given a full financial support for a one-year program of Turkish language
proficiency course which is usually held at TÖMER

a summer language (Arabic) program in a selected Arab country.

after you are shortlisted)
6. Statement of purpose
7. Optional: documents of Turkish and/or Arabic proficiencies

The Graduate Programme for Transcultural Studies of the Cluster of
Excellence "Asia and Europe in a Global Context" at Heidelberg University
welcomes applications for eight doctoral scholarships beginning in the
winter semester 2013/14.

The programme offers a monthly scholarship of 1.200 Euro. It further
supports scholarship holders in framing their research through advanced
courses and individual supervision and mentoring. Half of the scholarships
are reserved for young scholars from Asia.

Applicants are expected to propose a doctoral project with a strong
affiliation to the research framework of the Cluster. They must hold an M.A.
or equivalent in a discipline of the humanities or social sciences with an
above-average grade. Applications, including a CV, a letter of intention, a
project proposal, a schedule for the dissertation, and two referees for
recommendation are submitted through an Online Application System.

After an initial evaluation and selection, applicants will be asked to get
in contact with possible supervisors at the Cluster of Excellence to discuss
their project proposal. The most promising applicants will be invited to
present their projects to the selection committee in Heidelberg around the
middle of May. Subsequently the scholarship holders will be selected.

The deadline for applications is March 15, 2013.

wah terima kasih buat infonya... tapi masih ada yg jadi pertanyaan lagi.. apakah copy IELTS yg dikirimkan harus dilegalisir? atau boleh hanya copy tanpa legalisir? karena seperti yg saya jelaskan sebelumnya, pihak IALF tidak mengeluarkan legalisir untuk copy IELTS, mereka hanya bersedia mengirimkan copynya lgs ke institusi yg dituju. Jika memang boleh mengirim copy IELTS tanpa legalisir, ini sangat meringankan, karena biaya pengiriman copy ke Swedia sekitar US$30 s/d US$40...
Atau ada saran dimana bisa legalisir IELTS? dengan notaris publik? biasanya berapa hari?...

Jika tidak keberatan, saya ingin menanyakan pengalaman teman-teman tentang proses tes TOEFL IBT.
Sejauh yang saya ketahui, waktu pendaftaran test ditutup paling lambat seminggu sebelum tanggal tes.
Bagaimana tentang lama waktu hasil test tersebut keluar, kira2 berapa hari setelah tanggal tes ya?
 
Dan setelah hasilnya keluar, kira-kira berapa hari proses pengiriman hasilnya ke alamat kita maupun alamat universitas yang kita minta pihak TOEFL juga kirimkan terkait proses aplikasi S2?

Apabila dalam persyaratan universitas, hasil deadline pengiriman TOEFL certificate tgl 1 Maret 2013 (postal mark),
apakah waktunya cukup jika kita mengikuti tes dengan jadwal 3 Februari 2013?

Jika temens dan lainnya punya info tentang apartement/flatshare di Paris dan berkenan berbagi info dengan saya, saya sangat berterima kasih dan terbantu. Saya sudah coba kontak dgn agency, lewat network saya maupun juga lewat OECD, keliatan nya masih 'kabur'. Mungkin jg karna waktunya yang mepet dan Paris terkadang susah dapetin apartemen scr cepet.

Untuk itu saya mohon bantuan info, jika mungkin ada temen/milister yang lg di Paris dan mw berbagi info, ato beri petunjuk kpd saya. Adakah dari anggota milis ini yang menerima beasiswa unggulan, khususnya BU Mandiri (tahun 2011) dari Kemdiknas? Apakah sudah menerima pembayaran tahap selanjutnya?
Mau sedikit sharing, mengingat pembayaran semester sudah dimulai namun beasiswa menurut informasi dari Kemdiknas baru akan keluar pada bulan Maret-April 2013, apakah di antara teman-teman ada yang berpengalaman menerima dana talangan sementara dari Kemdiknas atau pihak lain? Jika iya, bagaimana prosedurnya?

The Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics is among the largest departments of epidemiology in Europe with special focus on increasing our knowledge of the aetiology for different diseases. Our department consists of researchers, doctoral students, biostatisticians, data collectors and database administrators as well as administrative personnel, in total approximately some 250 staff. Area of responsibilities/description of the work
Applications are invited for postdoctoral research positions in biostatistics and bioinformatics to work in the development and application of statistical methods for large cohort studies, family data and high-throughput omics data analyses. Appointment will be for 2 years, with evaluation after one year.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a PhD degree in statistics, biostatistics or related discipline, and have strong interest in medical and biological problems. Previous experience in computational methods is an advantage. Successful candidates will have ample opportunities to work on both methodological as well as applied collaborative projects.
Entry requirements 
A person is eligible for a postdoc position if he or she has obtained a PhD no more than seven years before the last date of employment as postdoc.

31st until June 9th 2013 the "International Student Week in Ilmenau
2013" (ISWI 2013) will be held here in Ilmenau, Germany.  It is a
conference for students from all over the world and has been held every
two years since 1993.
ISWI 2013 focuses on the topic "youth" following the motto "moving YOUth".

Kalau kita punya ijasah asing tapi tidak punya stok certified copy-nya, kira2 bagaimana ya? Apakah harus minta ke institusi asing yang mengeluarkan itu (yang artinya waktunya bisa lama) atau bisa cari notaris atau apapun yg punya kewenangan legal di Jakarta untuk menyatakan bahwa fotocopy ijasah tersebut sudah sesuai aslinya? Kalau yang kedua ini dimungkinkan, itu cari dan caranya bagaimana ya, ada yang tahu?
