Job Title: 3G RNC Engineer
Functional Role: MS BO RAN

Job Description: RNC Engineer (MS)
The RNC Engineer's responsibilities are to:
· Integration of the RNC with MSS network. Node-B integration.
· Traffic Observation, Service Quality measurements, its analysis & preventive action.
· Receive problems from Surveillance & solve it. New features/services troubleshooting.
· Create CSR & follow up, troubleshooting the problem etc.
· Troubleshooting for integrating the new services.
· Loading fixes etc, upgrading the node software release.
· Provide quick temporary solution to prevent service loss in emergency situations.
The candidate shall have the following basic competence:
1. University education within Telecommunication, Information Technology, Electronics or similar.
2. Telecommunication O&M experience and good knowledge of mobile telephony systems, GSM & UMTS.
3. Experience on integration with different VAS & NON VAS nodes.
4. The RNC expert must be able to Support 3G network and must be skilled with advance troubleshooting techniques in relative domain
5. Experience with CPP Platform based UTRAN Nodes (RNC/RBS/RXI) and good understanding of IP over ATM Transport Networks.
6. Experience in Operations and Maintenances of Node B, RXI, RNC.
7. Experience of RAN architecture, implementation & traffic cases.
8. Experience in traces of Node B, RXI, RNC by using Ericsson Tools (OSS-CR, MOSHELL, Element manager/EMAS, Ranos).
9. Good knowledge of UMTS Standards, 3GPP WCDMA air-interface & signalling protocols.
10. Software upgrading & configuration changes of Wireless RAN products including RNC, NODE B, RXI.
11. Basic knowledge in the following areas: TDMA/GSM/GPRS Core Network.
12. The expert must be skilled with integration of nodes with MGW & 2G.
13. The expert must be able to handle problems, faults and other issues arising from 2G and 3G integration.
14. The expert must have good understanding of Node-B and Core 3G network.
15. Good command of English language, oral and written (Arabic is a plus).
16. Good cultural awareness.
