Please see details below about a new ASEAN-US Science & Technology Fellows Pilot Program. This activity is inspired by, patterned after, and will be coordinated with the AAAS S&T Policy Fellowship Program. As current and former AAAS Fellows we hope you will help us in getting information about this opportunity out to scientists from the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region.
This one-year fellowship will embed PhD scientists from ASEAN countries in home country ministries to promote the use of the best available science to inform the national and ASEAN regional policy process; advance ASEAN regional cooperation on science and technology; build institutional capacity within ASEAN and between ASEAN and the United States to study regional and transboundary issues; and, deepen people-to-people interaction between ASEAN and U.S. scientists. Thematic focus areas for the program include: Health, Climate Change, Food Security, Early warning systems for disaster risk reduction, Water Management, and Biodiversity. (Specific focus areas vary for the six participating countries, which are Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia.)
This is a unique opportunity for participating scientists to learn new skills, apply their knowledge to national and regional priorities, see how their governments work from the inside, and forge connections with S&T Fellows in other ASEAN countries, as well as with U.S. scientists. Untuk studi S1 di Jerman, yang dibutuhkan sebagai berikut.
1. kursus bahasa Jerman hingga level A1 dengan sertifikat/ijasah untuk
dapat visa
2. dokumen kelulusan: ijasah SMA, daftar nilai, dll. Kedubes Jerman
biasanya meminta terjemahan Bahasa Jerman.
3. mengurus visa di Kedubes Jerman di Jakarta. Salah satu syarat visa
adalah memiliki deposit sekian euro, tergantung pengumuman di website
Kedubes Jerman. Kalau tidak ada di website, bisa coba telpon.
4. mendaftar Studienkolleg di Jerman. Sebelum Studienkolleg, perlu kursus
bahasa Jerman dulu hingga level B1 atau B2. Kursus bisa dilakukan di
Indonesia maupun Jerman.
5. Jika sudah diterima, mengikuti ujian-ujian yang ada pada Studienkolleg.
6. Jika lulus ujian, mengurus pendaftaran ke universitas di Jerman.
Oh, ya, selain urusan pendaftaran akademis, biasanya orang perlu
1. mencari tempat tinggal di Jerman
2. membuka rekening tabungan harian di Jerman
3. mengurus tiket transportasi dalam kota atau membeli sepeda
4. mencari toserba tempat membeli bahan pokok
Ada beberapa agen pendidikan yang berbisnis dalam menyediakan jasa membantu
hal-hal di atas. Tarifnya berbeda-beda. Salah satu contohnya adalah yang
telah disebut Fahmi di atas, yaitu Rp 90 juta. Ada agen yang bagus,
sehingga sampai di Jerman langsung dapat tempat tinggal dan hanya perlu
memikirkan kursus bahasa serta mendaftar Studienkolleg. Ada pula agen yang
jelek, yang hanya mengambil untung tapi ternyata sampai di Jerman terlantar.
Kalau ingin murah dalam hal uang, jangan pakai agen. Cukup cari informasi
di Kedubes Jerman di Jakarta dan Goethe Institute (Jakarta, Bandung,
Surabaya). Kalau ingin mencari tempat tinggal di Jerman, sebelum berangkat,
tanya-tanya di Facebook Group PPI Jerman dulu. Di sana bisa banyak yang
bantu. Minimal untuk tempat menginap di hari pertama-kedua di Jerman.
Sisanya cari tempat tinggal sendiri.

Yes, i think you can review and describe my vision very well. So i am little bit confident with my chosen step about selecting suitable field of study. But i have more questions. My friend (scholarship hunter too) said that almost all of University around the globe give an opportunity to take the course until 2 years after student accepted in that University. I mean, if i apply and fortunately accepted in some Universities but still did'nt get the scholarship, i can postpone to take the course until two years later as long as i have the Letter of Acceptance. So, i have opportunity and more time to get scholarship 2 years after i accepted in University, Is it true? is someone here has a similar experience with i explained above? If it is right, i can focusing my step to accepted in Universities first, right ?

Halo mas nirwan,
Saya kurang jelas dengan definisi "relatif lebih mudah atau realtif lebih rendah (skornya)" yang mas nirwan maksud. Sebagai informasi saja, untuk beasiswa Fulbright dan LPDP harus punya minimal skor TOEFL iBT 79 atau TOEFL PBT 550 (menurut saya ini masih standar), untuk beasiswa ADS lebih rendah lagi yakni TOEFL PBT 500, untuk BPP LN Dikti klo tidak salah TOEFL PBT 525/TOEFL iBT 75. Beasiswa New Zealand Aid klo tidak salah TOEFL iBT 90 (mungkin bisa lebih rendah lagi karena jika terpilih menjadi grantee bakal di kasih pre departure english course sama kayak ADS).
Klo yang mas nirwan maksud adalah TOEFL PBT dibawah 550 atau TOEFL iBT dibawah 80, biasanya tidak ada. Untuk kuliah di english speaking country, skor tersebut sudah menjadi nilai minimum, skor dibawah nilai tersebut dianggap belum mampu untuk mengikuti proses perkuliahan di negara2 tersebut. Bahkan dinegara-negara seperti Malaysia maupun Thailand menggunakan standar skor seperti diatas.

Function Information:
The purpose of this study is twofold. The (more) recent changes in the conjugation of Frisian verbs should be inventoried and accounted for. Within this complex system the ratio between external and internal forces: the great pressure that Dutch exerts on Frisian on the one hand, and the analogical restructuring of the verb paradigm to maintain a transparent relationship between form and function on the other hand, should also be investigated.
Job Requirements:
- a master's degree with excellent grades in linguistics or in linguistics of an individual language;
- experience in and affinity with empirical research involving language-corpora and digital data collections;
- experience in and affinity with the analysis of large digital data collections using existing software (databases, spreadsheets and mapping software);
- working knowledge of Frisian at (near-)native level;
- good academic writing and presentation skills;
- good interpersonal and organizational skills;
- strong interest in a scientific career

Beberapa hari yang lalu saya membaca kembali Ketentuan bagi Calon Penerima BPP-DN. Pada Pedoman BPP-DN tertulis bahwa batas usia untuk Calon Dosen adalah 26 tahun. Tapi di situ tidak dijelaskan maksimal 26 tahun itu per bulan apa. Nah, jika saat mendaftar usia kita < 26 tahun , tapi pada saat akhir bulan penerimaan hitungannya sudah 26+ --> apakah masih diperbolehkan mengikuti program ini?
Saya sudah coba telepon Dikti, tapi tidak pernah ada yang angkat. Saya juga sudah email ke bpp-dn@dikti.go.id tgl. 11 Des, tapi sampai sekarang belum ada balasan. Jadi, saya mohon info dari teman-teman di sini barangkali ada yang punya pengalaman mengenai 'usia'.
