Overall Purpose of the
Job
Centre for Innovation Policy and Governance (CIPG) is a research-based advisory group which aspires to excel in the area of science, technology, innovation, and governance. It is considered to be among the first advisory groups in Indonesia with keen interests in building Indonesian research capacities across many sectors. Its main activities include (1) research, (2) consultancy-advisory, and (3) capacity building, working on local as well as international projects.
Research Associate post will be reporting to the Project Leader and subsequently to Head of Research Directorate. It is anticipated that Research Associate will be working on several research projects simultaneously with appropriate work load.
Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Duties
Theory development and critical analysis of the literature
Data collection by means of interviews, focus group discussions, workshops and site visits
Development of detailed research methods, such as questionnaire design and administration, and interview protocols
Liaison with participants of the research
Arranging, organising and presenting at meetings and various dissemination events
Report and paper writing and presentations based on the research
Person Specifications
Essential
Minimum Undergraduate (S1) degree of education, from any background study
Excellent English proficiency, both oral and written
Experience in using computer applications (at minimum: Office application)
Strong team working skills
Proactive, initiative and independent person with good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work quickly and accurately, with good time management skills
Willing to travel local and abroad in connection with fieldworks
Desirable
Experience in academic writing
Experience in survey design and questionnaire administration
Experience in working with qualitative data
Recent research in an academic environment
A driving license
