**QUESTION: Remove/Uninstall MOSS 2007 after Database attach upgrade

Hello, I have a strange question that is not so obvious to me. I have done a basic search and have found a few posts where others are having the same questions. If you have a MOSS 2007 environment, where you have migrated to SharePoint 2010, do you have to manually remove/uninstall MOSS 2007. The environment is now SharePoint 2010 but I still have instances where Windows Update is asking me to install MOSS 2007 related patches and service packs. What are the best practices.

If you are doing an in-place upgrade and have finished and verified the
upgrade then uninstalling Moss 2007 in control panel is the last step.
