Dear Milisters,

Tahun lalu saya mencoba apply ADS tapi belum berhasil. Tahun ini saya mencoba lagi. Sekalian mengingatkan teman-teman deadline ADS tinggal 2 hari lagi lho!

Ada uneg-uneg yang mau saya tanyakan, dan barangkali rekan-rekan punya jawabannya.

Di form aplikasi ADS ada pertanyaan yang kurang lebih menanyakan apakah pelamar akan kembali ke tempatnya sekarang bekerja. Ada teman yang menginformasikan bahwa jawaban YA akan lebih besar kans nya ketimbang TIDAK. Apakah menurut pengalaman teman-teman memang demikian? Bagaimana misalnya ada orang yang sebelumnya aktif di dunia bisnis dan bekerja di perusahaan produk & jasa tertentu kemudian karena concern dan hal lainnya ia ingin banting stir terjun di dunia pendidikan menjadi dosen atau guru? Apakah kesempatannya kecil untuk orang-orang semacam ini? dan kalaupun kesempatan itu ada apakah misalnya ia harus sudah mendapat dukungan atau rekomendasi dari institusi pendidikan yang akan menerimanya bekerja? Atau adakah pengalaman rekan-rekan milisters yang walaupun menjawab TIDAK atas pertanyaan di atas dan berganti profesi toh berhasil mendapatkan beasiswa ADS?

Apakah letter of offer dari Uni di Aussie dapat memperbesar kans mendapatkan beasiswa ADS?

Mengenai batas umur. ADS memberi batas umur 42 tahun tapi ada beasiswa lain yang membatasi umur di angka 35 tahun? sebenarnya menurut pengalaman rekan-rekan sejauh mana sih batas umur ini mutlak menentukan? adakah rekan-rekan yang punya pengalaman mendapatkan beasiswa walaupun umurnya sudah melewati batas umur yang disyaratkan dalam aplikasi beasiswa.

Mohon share dari rekan-rekan milister yang mempunyai pengalaman yang relevan dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan ini...
